Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking a front desk patient access representative to greet patients using AIDET, perform full registration, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays. The role involves updating the medical record, handling referrals, and ensuring timely scheduling across the healthcare continuum.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of registration or billing experience, proficiency with Epic, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility preferred.
• Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, medical insurance pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated performance of excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests using AIDET while delivering excellent patient service.
• Perform registration and update demographics, insurance, and verification information.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Handle non-clinical admin duties and documentation in medical records.
• Provide outreach via MyChart, patient phone calls, and scheduling reminders.
