Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Registration Specialist to greet patients, perform full registration, verify demographics and insurance, and manage outreach and confirmations across the care continuum.

This role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced ambulatory environment. Epic experience is preferred and NAHAM CHAA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of registration or billing experience in a medical facility.
• Proficiency in patient registration, scheduling, pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Demonstrated excellence in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests using AIDET and provide excellent service.
• Perform all registration functions including full registration and updating demographics.
• Manage outreach and confirmations for messages and MyChart communications.
• Collect co-pays and reconcile cash drawer daily.
• Assist with scheduling appointments across the healthcare continuum.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and patient rights.
