Job summary

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking an Administrative Support Associate to help coordinate clinical service operations and enhance the patient experience. Under supervision, you will handle scheduling, patient registration, and basic clerical tasks while supporting diverse departments.

You should have a High School diploma and strong customer service skills, with basic computer proficiency and empathy for families.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and computer skills.

• Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service to patients and families.
• Greet, screen, and register patients; enroll in patient portal.
• Coordinate with providers to manage complex patient issues.
• Schedule encounters and coordinate patient flow.
• Assist with room prep and forms for appointments.
• Process patient demographics, insurance and referrals.
• Handle calls, triage urgent issues and emergencies.
• Maintain calendars and support departmental events.
• General clerical tasks and record handling.
• Transcribe treatment and billing data in EMR.
• Process prescription requests and external inquiries.
• Utilize office and hospital systems efficiently.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
