Job summary

Boston Children85s Hospital in Waltham is seeking a Patient Experience Representative I to support administrative operations and coordinate services for patients and families. You will help ensure the best possible experience by coordinating care, scheduling, and portal enrollment under supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Provides positive and effective customer service to patients, families, and visitors.
Greet, screen, direct, and register patients; enroll in patient portal.
Collaborate with referring providers and practices to manage complex patient issues.
Schedule patient encounters and procedures; monitor daily schedules.
Attend shift handoffs and team huddles.
Collect vitals and complete questionnaires in EMR as needed.
Prepare examination rooms and assist patients during visits.
Process demographics, insurance, and referral information; obtain authorizations.
Collect co-pays, reconcile deposits, and maintain accurate records.
Transcribe data and communicate with departments for services.
Answer, screen, route calls, and triage urgent issues.
Maintain calendars and support logistics for programs and presentations.
Process prescription refills, letters, and external requests.
Participate in process improvement initiatives.
