Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to oversee the patient experience across clinics, align with the organization's mission, and serve as a resource for patients and staff.

In this role you will manage scheduling, coordinate care, support billing processes, educate patients, and maintain strong relationships with providers and departments. Excellent communication and healthcare exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules to optimize resources (providers, rooms, equipment).
• Perform schedule maintenance and coordinate care for changes.
• Communicate with patients and staff to ensure treatment plan adherence.
• Assist Practice Manager with data collection on physician productivity and resource use.
• Resolve billing errors and denials; obtain pre-certifications/referrals as needed.
• Register patients and schedule appointments.
• Provide patient education materials as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with patients, providers, staff, and vendors.
• Answer inquiries related to practice operations.
• Follow up with patients to ensure compliance with tests and prescriptions.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
