Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Liaison to oversee the service experience for patients and to advocate for their needs while ensuring efficient use of practice resources. You will build strong relationships with patients and staff and support scheduling and education materials.

In this role, you will coordinate care options, assist in data collection on productivity, and help resolve billing issues to ensure smooth operations within the clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years previous healthcare experience.
• Experience in a customer service role.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the service experience for all patients and ensure optimal use of practice resources.
• Manage schedules to maximize resources including providers, rooms, and equipment.
• Coordinate care options and communicate with patients and clinical staff to ensure treatment plan adherence.
• Assist with data collection and analysis related to physician productivity and resource utilization.
• Help resolve billing errors and denials, and obtain pre-certifications or referrals as needed.
• Register patients and coordinate appointment scheduling and education materials.
