Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to support outpatient services. You will handle front desk duties, ensure smooth check-in/check-out, and help patients with scheduling and post-visit needs while maintaining patient confidentiality and providing excellent service.

The role requires basic MS Office/Google Suite skills, 1+ year of customer-facing experience, and ability to navigate EMR systems in a fast-paced setting. Travel to other locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required, with related experience.
• Associates degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office/Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with courteous service.
• Manage patient check-in/check-out and collect payments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and ensure referrals are obtained.
• Enter patient demographics in EMR and support scheduling.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and support front-end operations.
• Travel may be required to cover other locations.
