You will engage with patients, families, and providers, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

The role involves coordinating appointments, managing communications, handling payments and supporting the care team to optimize the patient experience.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and scheduling systems.
• Experience with medical billing processes and patient communications.

Responsabilités

• Managing the Patient Experience: Greets patients promptly, verifies demographics, and ensures confidentiality.
• Insurance Verification: verifies coverage and assists with financial counseling and release of information.
• Payments: handles co-payments and reconciles billing information.
• Communication: maintains relationships with coworkers, providers, and patients; adheres to HIPAA.
• Check out: verifies patient information, schedules follow-ups, and provides referrals.
• Telephone: answers calls promptly and routes messages.
• Appointments: schedules, reschedules, and manages reminders and no-shows.
• Mail Processing/Faxes: sorts and distributes mail and faxes daily.
• Documentation: prints orders and medical records in compliance with policy.
• Schedules: coordinates physician schedules and appointments.
• Leadership: supports office procedures and suggests efficiency improvements.
• Interpreter Services: provides interpretation as needed and translates provider instructions.
• Other Duties-Practice Specific: may include duties like roster prep or cross-training.
