Job summary

Athletico Physical Therapy is seeking a Patient Experience Coordinator to ensure accurate patient intake and financial clearance. You will provide a seamless front-office experience, verify insurance, collect payments, and support revenue cycle performance.

The role reports to the Clinic Manager and collaborates with clinical teams and PES for smooth operations and data integrity. Join a team focused on exceptional patient care and HIPAA-compliant practices.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required
• Excellent customer service skills and clear communication
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel) and data entry
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance benefits and coverage preferred
• Experience with patient payments and financial clearance preferred
• 1–2 years in customer service and healthcare administration preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and deliver a warm front-office experience
• Complete patient intake and registration with demographic verification
• Educate patients on financial responsibilities and payment options
• Collect time-of-service payments and support revenue cycle targets
• Manage clinic scheduling to optimize provider availability
• Monitor KPIs for registration accuracy and patient satisfaction
• Collaborate with PES, Billing, and Clinical Operations to resolve issues
• Utilize EMR systems and dashboards to track patient outcomes
• Communicate patient progress notes to referral sources
• Organize patient milestones and community-building activities
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain front-office proficiency
• Coordinate with clinical team for patient celebrations and events
• Provide Rehab Aide cross-training on front-office duties
