Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year medical office experience preferred.
• Multi-specialty office experience preferred.
• Experience in a customer service setting preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients in the PMIS, obtaining and verifying demographic and insurance information to ensure timely and accurate processing of claims.
• Triages calls and ensures timely and appropriate response; answers inquiries and maintains voicemail messages.
• Processes patient payments and reconciles records at the end of each shift.
• Maintains a neat and orderly waiting area and communicates schedule adjustments to patients and staff.
• Communicates with physicians’ offices and staff via EHR/Patient Portal to support care coordination.
