Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients, family, physicians, visitors, and other guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Register patients in the PMIS, verifying demographic and insurance information to ensure timely processing of claims.
Verify insurance eligibility responses to ensure coverage is in effect.
Monitor the reception area and keep all informed of schedule changes.
Process scheduling in computer-based systems for appointments, surgeries, or testing as appropriate.
Maintain security and accuracy of patient files and payments.
Communicate with physicians' offices and staff via EHR and Patient Portal.
Handle incoming calls, triage, and communicate messages promptly.
Assist with entry/reconciliation of physician billing and payments.
