Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Welcome Coordinator in the New Haven area to create a warm, inclusive environment for patients and guests. You will act as the face of our clinic, handling check-ins, forms, co-pays, and EMR updates to keep center operations smooth.

You will manage scheduling, phone lines, and faxes while maintaining a welcoming, professional demeanor and flexibility to float to other centers as needed. The role emphasizes high-touch patient experiences and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills required and basic knowledge of Google Suite.
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (where necessary).
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and guests
• Conducting visit check-in and assisting patients with required forms
• Collecting co-pays
• Updating patient information in the electronic medical record platform
• Scheduling/rescheduling appointments in the EMR
• Managing phone lines, taking messages, and outbound calls
• Managing faxes in the electronic fax platform
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the Welcome and Community Room areas
• Floating to other centers in the region on a regular basis
• Other duties as assigned
