Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our outpatient practice. You will manage front desk operations, greet patients, schedule visits, verify benefits and authorizations, and ensure accurate data entry to support a patient-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced front desk or medical/therapy office setting.
• Strong customer-service orientation with professional communication.
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in person or by phone.
• Schedule/reschedule appointments and manage the calendar.
• Complete insurance verifications and obtain authorization.
• Enter data accurately in the system and maintain records.
• Notify providers of arrivals and delays to keep schedules on track.
• Maintain patient accounts with updated personal and financial information.
• Process patient charges and assist with third-party claims.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow privacy policies.
• Follow office procedures and support team goals.
• Contribute to team efforts as needed.
