Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate a plus.
• Experience: 1+ year in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, attention to detail, and multitask in a busy environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with EMR software; EPIC experience preferred.
• Flexibility: Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends/holidays.
• Team Player: Proactive, friendly, patient-focused approach to service.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with a positive attitude and ensure a welcoming experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and organize patient and business documents.
• Verify health insurance benefits and patient eligibility; explain billing policies.
• Collect and communicate patients' financial responsibilities clearly.
• Assist the practice manager, providers, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Understand and enforce HIPAA and OSHA standards throughout processes.
• Travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
