Job summary

MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eden, NC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, and discharge. You will assist with triage, vital signs, and room preparation in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities include lab tests, digital record management, medication administration, and assisting during exams. A high school diploma and strong communication skills are required; MS Office experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist Providers with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.
• Triage patients promptly and in line with clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to medical history.
• Perform lab tests in compliance with clinical guidelines.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms for patient appointments and maintain cleanliness.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays following provider directives.
• Help monitor and manage medical inventory.
