Job summary

MidLantic Urology is seeking a Patient Service Representative I to ensure an exemplary patient experience by handling front desk duties, scheduling, and payment collection. You will greet patients, collect co-pays, verify insurance, and coordinate with clinical staff to streamline the intake and checkout process.

The role requires strong customer service skills, basic medical terminology, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinic environment. Prior EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1–3 years’ customer service experience.
• Experience in a medical office preferred (urology a plus).
• Basic knowledge of CPT coding and ICD-10 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and greets patients and visitors, in person or by phone.
• Registers new patients and updates demographics with detailed information.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances; verifies insurance information.
• Scans and files medical records; maintains PHI confidentiality.
• Schedules appointments and follow-up visits; coordinates patient flow with staff.
• Keeps front desk organized; answers inquiries professionally and promptly.
