Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in California is seeking a friendly front desk receptionist to provide a seamless experience for patients, staff, and referrals. You will handle check-ins, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate appointments in a busy O&P clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass the Talent Sorter assessment as part of the selection process.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting policy standards.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, addressing inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle walk-ins.
• Collect payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast/measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
