Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and coordinate follow-up appointments for prosthetic care plans.

The role requires strong communication skills, basic medical front office knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse patient populations. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or better.
• Experience in front desk/reception or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk, provide wait time information, and address inquiries.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-ins.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including prosthetic care planning and delivery.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
