Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and help coordinate appointments in a fast-paced O&P clinic environment.

The role emphasizes strong communication, computer proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while keeping patients at the center of care. Medical front office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications as listed: high school diploma or equivalent; prior front desk or medical front office experience preferred; valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at front desk; provide information and address inquiries.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle walk-ins.
• Collect payments (deductibles, copays, co-insurance) at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments and prosthetic care plan scheduling.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
