Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Patient Service Representative to deliver premium customer service for outpatient clinic visits, requiring direct face-to-face interactions with patients, visitors, therapists, and staff.

You will greet patients, schedule therapy appointments including cancellations, manage the waitlist, verify referrals and insurance, prepare registration packets, and support billing and records, with hours Monday-Thursday 12PM-7PM and Friday 1PM-5PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of customer service experience in healthcare preferred.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors upon arrival.
• Schedules therapy appointments, including cancellations and rescheduling.
• Oversees the clinic waitlist and confirms appointments.
• Verifies referrals and insurance information; coordinates urgent verifications.
• Prepares registration packets for initial visits; ensures paperwork is uploaded.
• Confirms physician orders prior to scheduling return visits.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory; performs light cleaning.
• Provides general office support (filing, copying, faxing).
• Creates new medical record projects in Image Now on admission.
• Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports as directed.
• Liaises with Business Office on billing issues; handles patient payments.
• Prepares end-of-day summaries and deposits; balances cash drawer.
• Responds to voicemail and email; logs referrals in Referral Database.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
