FIRST PHYSICIANS is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, handle check-ins, collect copays, schedule appointments, and manage records with a focus on accuracy and patient experience.

The ideal candidate communicates well, is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced clinic environment. This full-time role reports to the Office Manager and offers a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors warmly, in person and by phone.
• Process check-ins/outs, collect copays and answer billing questions.
• Schedule, confirm and reschedule appointments for clinic efficiency.
• Register walk-ins according to guidelines.
• Update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility before visits.
• Handle multi-line phone calls and direct to the right team.
• Scan IDs and insurance cards into records.
• Balance daily cash drawer and maintain payment logs.
• Process medical records requests per HIPAA and privacy rules.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and waiting area.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure smooth patient experience.
