Qualifications

• Understanding of medical coding and billing.
• Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
• Proficient with common PC applications (Internet, Email, MS Office).
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner and informs on delays.
• Obtains registration data, insurance information, and photo ID.
• Enters patient data into the computer system accurately.
• Verifies insurance, collects co-pays and deductions as per plan.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Balances daily charges and safeguards received money.
• Manages patient charts, referrals, and sharing records when needed.
• Assists staff and schedules provider referrals.
• Keeps lobby clean and stocked with necessary items.
• Supports efforts to minimize financial risk and ensures proper controls.
