Job summary

Responsibilities include verifying insurance, calculating deductibles and co-pays, documenting in electronic medical records, and coordinating appointments for a range of providers. Prior health-care experience is preferred, with strong customer service and clerical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Healthcare environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance, deductible amounts and co-pays for clinic services.
• Assist patients with billing, scheduling and registration inquiries.
• Document verified information in EMR and triage software; use IDX/Epic as needed.
• Answer calls, take messages, and route to appropriate area; maintain patient accounts.
