Job summary

Milwaukee Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, both by phone and in person. You will schedule appointments, collect demographics and insurance details, and assist with payments while delivering friendly, accurate service.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy health care environment are essential. Prior Epic experience is preferred; this role is on-site in Milwaukee, WI.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or GED.
• Experience: 2-4 years in customer service; Epic experience preferred; knowledge of healthcare insurance.
• Ability to multitask, analytical, adaptable to changing priorities and time pressures.
• Language: basic communication skills.
• Hours may vary; travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls and greet in person, schedule/reschedule appointments.
• Collect demographics, insurance and payments; verify information.
• Provide excellent customer service and HIPAA/OSHA compliance.
• Refer patients to Financial Advocate for payment plans.
• Maintain department schedules and pre-registration.
