Job summary

COPC Brand's Westerville Family Physicians seeks a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, check in, verify insurance and enter data, ensuring a smooth visit.

You'll handle phone and email inquiries, collect copays, support HIPAA compliance, and coordinate with clinical staff to deliver a positive patient experience. This full-time clerical role requires strong communication, organization, and the ability to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with patient registration and insurance verification is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete check-in procedures, including data entry and insurance verification.
• Handle registration and scheduling tasks; manage electronic fax inbox and related clerical duties.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and/or outstanding balances from patients.
• Answer phone calls and emails; escalate to COPC departments as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all interactions.
