Job summary

Central Ohio Primary Care in Westerville, OH is seeking a friendly front desk team member who will greet patients, handle check-in, verify insurance, collect copays, and schedule follow-up visits. The role will start at front desk and later cross-train for clinical assistant duties, supporting clinicians and front office staff.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED or 6 months customer service/healthcare experience.
1 year administrative experience preferred.
Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and complete established check-in procedures; responsibility for registration, including data entry and insurance verification.
Collect copays, deductibles, and/or outstanding balances.
Check patients out, schedule follow-ups, and communicate necessary items at checkout.
Answer phone calls and email inquiries from patients and COPC departments; direct or escalate as needed.
Complete clerical tasks including mail distribution, filing, scanning, scheduling, data input, and general support to office staff.
Maintain confidentiality of patient data and stay up to date with HIPAA regulations.
