Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical clinic or customer service.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate with employees, patients and others professionally.
• Knowledge of medical products, terminology, standards and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to travel locally up to 10% to cover other centers.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and capable of typing 40 WPM; EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors in a polite and friendly manner.
• Greet guests and assist in front office operations.
• Prepare new patient registration, check-in and check-out.
• Answer phones professionally and take detailed messages.
• Manage provider schedules, including scheduling and rescheduling appointments.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information and collect copays.
• Ensure correct appointment types and run end-of-day reconciliation reports.
• Process telephone encounters and scan documents into the EMR system.
• Maintain front office space and supplies; uphold patient confidentiality.
