Job summary

CaroMont Health is hiring for a front desk/visitor services role in Belmont, NC. The position involves greeting visitors, answering calls, and escorting to treatment areas in the Emergency Department, while providing clear, courteous information to patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities include directing visitors, relaying location and visitation policies, paging emergency codes, and coordinating with Registration and Nursing staff.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent with at least 1 year experience in a position requiring substantial people contact.
• Must be levelheaded, mature, have excellent customer service and verbal communication skills, speak clearly and have the ability to multi-task and deal with the public diplomatically.
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Windows and Office.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, and escorting visitors to Emergency Department Treatment rooms.
• Provide patient information to patients, visitors, families, and staff regarding location and visitation policies.
• Page emergency codes and staff; contact appropriate emergency response personnel.
• Communicate effectively with Registration and Nursing Staff and escalate potential complaints to Patient Representatives.
