Job summary

Mercy Medical Center is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support a physician practice. You will handle scheduling, patient registration, charge entry and end-of-day reconciliation while delivering exceptional customer service.

This role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Meditech/Epic and MS Office is expected; 40 wpm typing is required, with 55 wpm preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must be able to work independently and make independent decisions when needed.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail; able to multi-task across calls and front-desk duties.
• Typing minimum of 40 wpm, 55 wpm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate physician schedules and support the practice on a daily basis.
• Assist callers and visitors to the office; register patients and handle charge entry.
• End-of-day reconciliation and collecting payments; manage referrals and surgical authorizations.
• Provide excellent customer service and work as a team member to ensure smooth operation.
