Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a Patient Service Representative to provide clerical support in the physician practice and manage the daily workflow. You will handle patient registration, scheduling, charge entry, and end-of-day reconciliation while ensuring accurate payments and referrals processing.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years experience in healthcare setting required.
• Preferred: 3-5 years in related field or specialty practice.
• 1 year in patient reception or customer service preferred.
• Certificate of completion of medical terminology course preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of the physician practice and provide clerical support.
• Manage physician schedule, assist callers and visitors, patient registration and charge entry.
• Handle end-of-day reconciliation, collect payments, and obtain referrals and surgical authorizations.
• Provide excellent customer service; read, write and speak English clearly; work well in a team.
