Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Service Representative to serve as the welcoming front-line for patients and visitors, managing front-desk operations and scheduling workflows. You will communicate patient financial responsibility, collect payments, and explain available payment options and assistance resources while documenting financial conversations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with patients and staff.
• Proficiency with basic computer skills including data entry and word processing.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policies.
• Accurate data entry, scheduling, and documentation.
• Ability to discuss patient financial responsibility, payment options, and resources.
• Adaptable and able to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
