Mercy is seeking a Patient Service Representative to be the primary contact for patients and visitors at the front desk, coordinating front-desk operations to ensure a positive patient experience. The role includes communicating financial responsibility, collecting payments, and guiding patients to available payment options and assistance resources.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while handling inquiries

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills including data entry and word processing.
• Excellent customer service skills with empathy and professionalism.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in entering patient information, scheduling, and documentation.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow privacy policies/procedures.
• Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure.
• Complete Clinic Core Front Desk Training post-hire.
• Ability to discuss patient financial responsibility, outstanding balances, payment options, and financial assistance resources.
• Respond to patient questions while maintaining a positive, patient-centered experience.
• Follow established patient collection and financial-assistance workflows.
