Job summary

Valeris is seeking a patient support role in Charlotte where you will build trusted relationships, explain benefits, and guide patients through coverage options. You will ensure compliant communications and coordinate resources across the patient journey.

Responsibilities include welcome calls, enrollment documentation, and helping patients understand costs while connecting them to support services and payer resources as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience.
• Customer service and healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Ability to work an 8.5-hour shift between 8 am to 9 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish or Chinese/Mandarin is a plus.
• Commitment to the mission of care coordination.
• Empathetic, trustworthy and able to communicate clearly with patients.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with patients through proactive communication and timely, accurate services.
• Ensure interactions comply with healthcare laws and regulations.
• Assist patients with pharmacy benefit products and immunology-related needs.
• Conduct program welcome calls explaining available services.
• Use motivational interviewing to engage patients in goal setting.
• Explain coverage options and assist with benefits investigations.
• Handle patient inquiries not resolved through standard reporting processes.
• Document enrollment and educational information about products and coverage.
• Coordinate shipment of products through patient assistance programs.
• Provide information on treatment course, coverage benefits, and out-of-pocket costs.
• Identify and connect patients with peer support resources when appropriate.
