Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates at UVA Haymarket in Haymarket, VA. Full-time and part-time roles require restaurant experience and offer hourly pay in a range provided by Morrison.

As part of the patient dining team, you will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure accuracy and timeliness while adhering to safety and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections and coordinate with nursing on dietary needs.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies and cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow HIPAA policies and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines during food handling and clean work stations.
• Follow infection control policies and department procedures.
• Support dietitians with monitoring patients on restricted diets.
• Report problems or concerns to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports per Morrison policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
