Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) for full-time and part-time roles at UVA Haymarket, VA. The position requires delivering accurate meals to patients, coordinating with care teams, and ensuring dietary needs are met with care and respect.

Ideal candidates have restaurant experience, can work varied schedules including weekends, and can lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays on schedule.
• Complies with federal, state and JCAHO standards; adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
