Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associate positions at UVA Health System in Charlottesville, VA. You will join a caring team that nourishes patients, families, and staff, helping with menu selections, tray assembly, and on-time meal delivery.

Shifts are 12 hours, three days a week with rotating weekends, and the role requires prior customer service and patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state, and local standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work stations.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets and monitor patient needs.
• Communicate concerns to appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
