Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is hiring a Guest Services Representative in Charleston to warmly greet patients and visitors and guide them to the right services.

You will help with accommodations, provide information, assist with wayfinding, and support a responsive, patient-centered environment. This role reports to the Manager of Guest Services and requires strong communication and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of customer service experience.
• Associate’s degree with one year customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Professionally greet visitors and patients upon arrival.
• Ascertain patients’ and/or visitors’ needs and direct them accordingly.
• Educates Medical Center patients, family members, visitors and guests regarding appropriate services and available resources and assist with wayfinding.
• Demonstrates a commitment to problem resolution by embracing a creative approach and focusing on efficient and effective solutions to promote the desired outcomes.
• Meets key performance metrics for area and demonstrates compliance with policies/processes
