Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Guest Services Representative to warmly greet visitors, assess their needs, and guide them to the appropriate resources. You will educate patients and guests on available services and assist with wayfinding, while upholding service standards and contributing to efficient operations.

You will work under the Manager of Guest Services, with a focus on resolving issues creatively and meeting performance metrics in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or an associate/bachelor's degree as specified in the job description.
• Direct customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Professionally greets visitors and patients upon arrival.
• Ascertains patients’ and or visitors’ needs and directs them accordingly.
• Educates Medical Center patients, family members, visitors and guests regarding appropriate services and available resources and assist with wayfinding.
• Demonstrates a commitment to problem resolution by embracing a creative approach and focusing on efficient and effective solutions to promote the desired outcomes.
• Meets key performance metrics for area and demonstrates compliance with policies/processes
