Job summary

Northwest Eye Surgeons in Sequim seeks a Patient Concierge Supervisor to lead our patient services team, ensure efficient daily clinic operations, and maintain a welcoming, patient-centered experience in a busy ophthalmology setting.

You’ll supervise concierge staff, participate in interviewing and training, plan daily work, monitor performance, and coordinate patient flow across clinics while partnering with clinic leadership to uphold service quality, compliance, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years healthcare experience.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, motivation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and ensure patient-centered service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient concierge operations, including check-in, check-out, and medical records.
• Supervise employees in accordance with policies and laws.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, orientation, and staff training.
• Plan, assign, and direct daily work activities.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee concerns.
• Develop and improve workflows, monitor procedures and productivity.
• Manage patient flow and staffing coverage.
• Ensure insurance pre-authorizations, referrals, and certifications as applicable; know ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Train staff on policies, insurance requirements, customer service, and EPM/EMR systems.
• Communicate preoperative requirements clearly to patients.
• Coordinate and verify surgery paperwork.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
