Job summary

Qualifications

• One-year work experience, preferably in medical office setting.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Schedules appointments.
• Checks in patients: verify demographics, update insurance information, initiate changes, notify clinical personnel, generate fee slips, locate charts, verify referral approval, log copays.
• Handles patient payments (cash and credit card).
• Answers telephones, takes messages and routes calls appropriately.
