Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in Northern New Jersey is seeking a Patient Coordinator to join our front desk team. You will manage scheduling, insurance verifications, and data entry, serving as the first friendly point of contact for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Physical therapy environment, medical office, or hospitality with a strong emphasis on customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and visitors in person or by phone and handle inquiries or referrals.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments to optimize provider time and room utilization.
• Complete insurance verifications.
• Maintain patient records and confidential information.
• Keep appointments on schedule and notify providers of delays.
• Maintain patient accounts and update personal/financial information.
• Record and collect patient charges and manage third-party claims.
• Follow policies to protect patient rights and confidentiality.
• Contribute to team goals and overall operations.
