Job summary

Integrity Care Group is seeking a patient service specialist to manage front desk operations, greet patients, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and ensure data integrity. You will protect patient confidentiality and coordinate with providers to maintain smooth patient flow in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities include entering registration data, processing referrals, and supporting staff with scheduling, while upholding HIPAA and privacy guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Current certification in BLS.
• 1-3 years medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing.
• Familiarity with OSHA, HIPAA, blood-borne pathogens and related regulations.
• Proficient with MS Office, Internet and Email.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner; ensure smooth patient flow.
• Obtain registration data, insurance information, and photo ID.
• Enter patient data accurately into the computer system.
• Verify insurance and collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Balance daily charges and safeguard received payments.
• Manage patient charts, arrange referrals, and share records as needed.
• Assist scheduling and follow-up on provider referrals.
• Keep lobby clean and stocked with necessary items.
