Job summary

Integrity Care Group is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to handle front desk duties, patient registration, insurance verification and data integrity. You will greet patients, collect co-pays, and ensure confidentiality following HIPAA.

The role requires 1–3 years in a medical office, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of billing procedures. A BLS certification is required and the position supports a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain a current BLS certification.
• 1–3 years prior medical office experience preferred.
• Understanding of medical coding and billing.
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, blood-borne pathogens, and others.
• Competent with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate new and current provider staff.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a polite, prompt, and helpful manner and provides excellent service.
• Obtains registration data, insurance information, and photo ID at each encounter.
• Promptly and accurately enters patient data into the computer system.
• Verifies patient’s insurance and collects co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles per plan.
• Follows HIPAA guidelines and maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information.
• Balances daily charges and safeguards money received.
• Manages patient charts and handles referrals as needed.
• Assists other staff in a positive, team-centered manner.
• Assists in scheduling and following up on provider referrals.
• Keeps lobby clean and stocked with necessary items.
• Seeks methods to minimize financial risk and ensures compliance audits.
