Job summary

Fast Pace Health is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to provide administrative support and patient services under supervision of a clinician. You will greet patients, register and discharge, collect demographics and payments, and verify insurance while maintaining excellent customer service in a busy clinic.

You will cross-train on back-office duties and help coordinate medical records, with opportunities for growth and ongoing training. A friendly, patient-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required (active).
• 1 year of customer experience, preferably urgent care.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and discharge patients with high customer service.
• Cross-train and assist with back-office duties within scope of practice.
• Collect and input patient demographics and financial information at registration.
• Verify and update patient insurance information at registration.
• Maintain knowledge of medical insurance plans including copays, deductibles, and coverage limits.
• Assist with back-office clinical skills as needed.
• Coordinate medical records and ensure continuity of care.
• Support new employee training with shadowing and coaching.
• Maintain a clean, professional reception area and clinic environment.
