Job summary

Fast Pace Health is seeking a Patient Care Specialist to provide administrative support and exceptional patient service under supervision. You will handle patient registration, insurance verification, and essential front-office tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly and create a welcoming environment.

You will communicate clearly with patients and staff, maintain accurate records, and participate in compliance training while contributing to a positive, team-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Level 1: HS diploma or equivalent with CPR license and 1 year of customer experience.
• Level 2: HS diploma or equivalent with CPR license and 3 years’ billing and coding plus typing 70–100 wpm and MS Office proficiency.
• Level 3: HS diploma or equivalent with CPR license and 3 years’ billing and coding and strong MS Office skills including formulas and lookups.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a high level of Customer Service to greet, register, and discharge patients.
• Cross-train and assist with back-office duties within scope of practice.
• Input patient demographics and financial information at registration.
• Verify and update patient insurance information at registration.
• Maintain knowledge of Medical Insurance Plans including co-pays, deductibles, and coverage limits.
• Coordinate medical records process for continuation of care.
• Support new employee training and onboarding activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and friendly atmosphere.
