EmergeOrtho is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to greet patients, verify insurance, and assist with check-in/out in a fast-paced orthopedic practice. You will collect co-pays and deposits, review demographics, and maintain accurate daily reports to keep the office running efficiently.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to handle high patient volumes, and a patient-focused, confidential approach. Prior check-in or insurance experience is helpful but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication skills.

• Experience in financial collections is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; assist with check-in and scheduling.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect balances, deposits, and co-pays.
• Prepare charts for appointments and maintain patient records.
• Maintain professional communication with staff and providers.
• Ensure smooth clinic operations and scheduling accuracy.
• Protect patient confidentiality and rights.
• Support office inventory and equipment as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
