Job summary

ORTHO OIC Orthopaedic Immediate Care is seeking a Front Desk / Patient Services Representative to be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, efficient check-in and check-out experience while handling administrative duties that support daily clinic operations.

The position requires 1+ years at a healthcare front desk, experience with EMR systems, and strong customer service and communication skills. Monday-Friday, full-time, on-site in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years front desk/receptionist experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with EMR/practice management systems and insurance verification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in/check out patients in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at time of service.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer a multi-line phone system; route calls and messages appropriately.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to visits.
• Scan, file, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Manage waiting room flow and communicate wait times to patients.
• Process referrals, work notes, and other patient documentation requests.
• Maintain a clean and organized front office and lobby area.
• Support clinical staff and management with administrative tasks as needed.
