EmergeOrtho in North Carolina is seeking a Patient Support Specialist to greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect balances, and support daily office operations. You will handle check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, review charts, maintain patient accounts, and collaborate with staff to ensure a courteous, efficient patient experience.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to multi-task, and maintaining patient confidentiality in a fast-paced orthopedic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Solid communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with insurance guidelines and entry is helpful.
• Ability to manage high patient volumes and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients; answering phones; check-in, registration, and check-out; insurance verification; appointment scheduling; chart prep and review; processing orders.
• Maintains professional communication with staff and providers regarding patient needs.
• Welcomes patients and visitors, in person or by phone, answering inquiries.
• Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time.
• Notifies providers of arrivals and delays to keep on-schedule.
• Assists patients emotionally, answering questions and maintaining reception area.
• Maintains patient records and accounts with updated demographics and financial data.
• Manages office inventory, orders supplies, and coordinates equipment service.
• Responds to emergencies and protects patient confidentiality.
• Follows policies and procedures; supports team goals; may travel to locations as needed.
