Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interact with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies alike.

Responsibilities

• Checks in and checks out patients in a timely, friendly manner.
• Comforts patients by answering questions they may have.
• Discusses patient balances and collects Copayment/Balances.
• Maintains patient accounts by verifying insurance information and coordinating with staff for payment and referral requirements.
• Keeps doctors and staff informed of scheduling, patient details, and potential delays.
• Protects patient confidentiality; HIPAA familiar.
• Exhibits strong customer service in daily interactions with public, staff and physicians.
• Maintains professional demeanor aligned with Core Values and Shared Purpose.
• Collaborates to protect Patient Health Information.
• Processes collection of Copayments/Balances.
• Schedules with patient and provider schedules in mind.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and plan requirements.
• Responsible for daily collection reconciliation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
