Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Front Desk Associate at St. Francis Hospital for a full-time day-shift role. You will greet patients and visitors, collect demographic and billing data, and direct people to the correct locations.

You will maintain ongoing communication with clinical staff about patient status, explain forms before signatures, and ensure documents are properly signed. A high school diploma and medical terminology knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous education in medical terminology strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, respond to questions/concerns and direct them to appropriate locations.
• Provide on-going communication with clinical staff regarding patient status.
• Collect and enter all necessary demographic, clinical, billing and insurance information from patients or responsible parties and determine and accept required payments, including co-pays and deductibles.
• Explain processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensure that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required.
